The spiritual condition of the people of God in Isaiah’s day was that of despondency: low spirits with a sense of hopelessness and despair. And they thought God was nowhere to be found. But nothing could be further from the truth. With great love and compassion, God has sent the Servant of the Lord to liberate his people and take them from the gloom of darkness into his glorious light.
