About Grace Presbyterian Church

A new congregation with old roots.

Grace Presbyterian Church is a body of believers who are seeking – by God’s grace – to live faith-filled lives in love of God and neighbors. We believe that there is no greater joy than to know Christ and to be known by him. Because of this, we long for others to know Christ, too.

Our History

How Grace Church began.

For many years people had been praying for a new church in the Hamptons which proclaims the gospel of grace with conviction and joy. In the early 2000s a handful of families approached the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) with the hope of beginning this new church.

The Redeemer Church Planting Center (now Redeemer City to City) at Redeemer Presbyterian Church assisted in laying the groundwork and helping to call our church planting pastor, Rev. Mark Middlekauff. Rev. Middlekauff led the plant team in discerning God’s vision for the church, developing a plan for reaching the community, and launching the new church.

    A permanent home

We purchased the church building we had been renting, giving us a permanent home on the East End of Long Island.

    A particularized church

Grace Church moved from being a “mission church,” or church plant, to a “particularized church”: one that is (1) financially self-supporting and (2) elder led, with a local leadership board called a Session.

Today

Alive in Christ.

Grace Presbyterian Church continues to live out our motto as we seek to fulfill our vision “to see Long Island awakened to the glory of Jesus Christ.”
