Twenty years ago, Grace Presbyterian Church began with a prayerful study of the East End—its people, challenges, hopes, and need for the gospel. That work helped shape the vision and ministry of our church.

Today, our vision remains the same: We exist to see Long Island awakened to the glory of Jesus Christ. But our community has changed. Re-Envisioning Grace is a five-session congregational study designed to help us understand the East End as it is today and prayerfully consider how Grace Church can serve it faithfully in the years ahead.

Each session includes substantive teaching from Pastor Mark followed by conversation in small groups. Together, we will ask honest questions, share perspectives, and develop the understanding that will help our Session plan for Grace Church’s future.

The Five Sessions

Session 1 — May 31
The Changing East End
Who lives here now, and how is our community different from ten years ago?

Session 2 — June 28
Hearts and Idols
What are the spiritual realities of the people around us, and what do we not yet understand about them?

Session 3 — August 2
Grace’s Calling and Constraints
What has God given us, and where are the honest gaps between who we are and who we need to become?

Session 4 — September 20
What Needs to Change?
Given what we have learned, where must our ministry strategies adapt?

Session 5 — October 18
Building, Succession, and Financial Vision
How do we fund and build for the next decade, prepare for pastoral transition, and faithfully steward our resources?

What to Expect

Each session will take place on Sunday following the worship service and will run approximately 60–75 minutes. Food will be served.

Pre-read materials will be distributed approximately one week before each session so participants can come prepared to think, discuss, and pray.

This is not a committee meeting. It is an opportunity for the whole church to learn and discern together. Your perspective matters, and we hope you will take part in every session.
