Often, when we read Old Testament narratives, the temptation is to imagine that we are too far removed from the characters to relate to them. However, wisdom dictates that we are not so different after all. In fact, by reflecting on their history, we learn the importance of acknowledging and appreciating God's marvelous work and faithfulness in the lives of His people.
